Human beings are drawn to stories. We read books, watch movies, listen to podcasts—all for the story. History was passed down as story. Memories of loved ones who have passed are kept alive with story. We all want to live a story worth retelling.
What better story to live, year after year, than the story of Jesus?
Enter the church calendar.
The point of the church calendar is to live your life in a yearly rhythm of remembering the birth, death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Do you see the beauty of it? Do you see the sacred rhythm?
This is discipleship ingrained in the calendar, year by year by year.
Imagine living your life in a yearly cycle, always focused on Jesus!
In good years and bad, we live The Story.
In times of plenty and in times of want, we live The Story.
Intentionally placing the story of our lives into the rhythm of the story of Jesus can do nothing except deepen our love for Him. What better way to live our story than to bind it with His?
Email us if you would like a copy of last year’s Living The Story: Advent & Christmas book, and follow along as we journey to the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

In the Ordinary
I saw a meme the other day of a man gazing lovingly at his Christmas tree with the caption, “Now until December 25th.” The next picture showed the same man staring at the same tree in disgust, captioned, “December 26th.”

Joy Is A Person
It seems that, in this world, the pursuit of happiness is high on the list of things that are important. Though there is certainly nothing wrong with that pursuit, we find that it is very much based on circumstance.
Peace That Passes All Understanding
Advent is a season of anticipation—a time when we pause to remember the coming of Christ and look forward to His promised return. It’s more than a countdown to Christmas; it’s an invitation to prepare our hearts and renew our faith. The first theme is Hope—a word we often use, but do we truly understand what it means?

The Gift of Advent
Advent is a season when we contemplate the arrival of Jesus Christ. It’s the only event on the Church calendar that is celebrated by the world around us. It’s the most festive time of the year, not just for Christians but for everyone.
